Qur’an Program

Program Overview:

A 3.5 year diploma program for students who wish to learn the translation and commentary of the entire Qur’an. The course is based on authentic hadith, classical sources of scholarly tafsir, and the lives and teachings of the virtuous believers who were the embodiment of the Qur’an. In addition to the translation and commentary of the entire Qur’an, students will also be given the option to study basic Tajweed. The emphasis is on understanding the depths of Qur’anic wisdom and to highlight spiritual insights and practical advice from the meanings of the Qur’an with the purpose of increasing our heartfelt connection with Allah.

Time Commitment: 3 hours/week Qur’an class.

*Recordings will be available for those who can’t join live session.

How are Classes Conducted?

Classes are conducted via an online learning tool called WizIQ. Some of the features of our virtual classroom include:

  • Live Audio Streaming
  • Content sharing via the White Board
  • Chat Box for live interaction with the Instructor
  • Availability of class Recordings

Learning Management System:

Our classes also feature an interactive Learning Management System. Some of the features of the LMS include:

  • Discussion Forums for interacting with class mates and Teaching Assistants

  • Online Quizzes and Exams
  • Online Calender
  • Instant Messages

Ans: All courses offered by Zaynab Academy Online are free of charge.

Ans: 3 hours/week Qur’an class. Tajweed is to be covered by students through recordings at their own pace. Out of class, students are expected to spend around 2-4 hours a week to review the material.

Ans: Yes. Those students who wish to receive a diploma at the end of 3 years need to give Term Assessments. In addition to the Term Assessments, occasional quizzes might be taken during the terms too, to help students review important material covered during classes.

Ans: Yes, one can enroll as an auditor if he wishes. Auditors will be allowed to attend classes but will not receive any certification from Zaynab Academy Online as they will not be required to take the tests.

Ans: Recordings are available for those students who miss classes for genuine reasons or just to listen to any class again.

Ans: The Qur’an Program has been designed to cater to working women, students and housewives alike, so we do understand that there may be occasions when you may not be able to attend class for genuine reasons. Recordings are available so that students may catch up with the classes they have missed. They will have to provide reason in advance for missing the classes.

Ans:Attendance will be regularly marked for the Qur’an Program. In order to qualify for the next QP term, students need to maintain at least 90% attendance each term (live classes & via recordings).
